The Best Translations of the Hebrew Bible
The New Oxford Annotated Bible in the fifth edition is probably the best edition. Another really good one is the Jewish Publication Society Tanak. The King James Version was first translated and published, it included the Apocrypha. That's how Protestants originally were publishing their Bibles. But to save cost on printing, they said, you know what, let's just pull the Apocalypha out.
