The US's Relationship With Africa
The US has a long-term relationship with Africa, says former Secretary of State John Kerry. "We are friends who are there in bad times and in good times," he said. The U.S. was the first country to recognize Ghana when they got their independence. It's arguable that that's partially why China and Russia have been able to form relationships like they've done.
