The Importance of School Choice
I would argue that what's needed is choice across the board, not simply choice in terms of what school I want my kid to go to. And then as well, choice on the part of the principal, of being able to promote and hire better teachers and get rid of less good teachers. Even if we don't have a school choice program enacted, I think that a step forward would be to deregulate the public schools at least.
