Joseppa belsamo fell back on illegal methods of making a living. He became friends with a man named agliata who claimed to be a prussian marquis and a colonel, among other things. Agliata found lorenza beautiful and desirable, and he made it clear to jiuseppa that he would like to have sex with his wife.
