I know my mom was very against the parties. It always like drove her anxiety very high. That's not how she grew up. I also wanted to support me and they were happy. I had friends and I was making a name for myself. The kids had somewhere safe to go because you would go to some shady house parties in high school, where no one gives a shit about food or snacks.
