In the middle of this book, we have like a parallel thing where there's the Alexandra and who carls back in town thing. And he is developing a friendship with a married woman named Marie Shabbata. They got married a few years ago and it's a great marriage. But they don't have reciprocal feelings for each other. Okay. There's a fun beat here where she doesn't like things that make him angry and doesn't, you know, want him to like go out into the world and lash out.
