The food is ultra-processed, which means that the ingredients themselves are processed or they're extracts of other foods. So if you're trying to appeal to health-conscious consumers, those are exactly the consumers who know to flip the package and look at the nutrition facts. Some people thought I'd like to cut down my meat intake and tried these. And then they got comfortable with the idea of something like lentils or beans,. They're also a lot healthier and cheaper than this stuff. Other people were like, well, yeah, I'll go back to all of some chicken because chickens ... It's just really very narrow.
