Introduction

The doctrine of resurrection is central to the new testament. The bible's own statements concerning it are instructive. In John 12:24, jesus says you must die to the old if you are going to be raised to something new and greater. Within this statement is a necessary divesting of our mortal bodies so that we might enjoy greater, more glorious bodies. So what might this teach us about the doctrine of resurrection in the old testament?
