What's the Difference Between Plutonium and Cobalt?
Cobalt 60 has something like 30 times the energy that we could get out of a plutonium power system. We chose plutonium primarily because less of the half life than an alfa mitter. The alpha particles are caught and transformed into thermal energy within the icotope itself for the most part. These are semi conductor materials that are going to be made in a similar way to the fab.
