Chapter 3 on the Examination of Our Soul
You must go through the whole of the second point in three days and two nights at the most, taking as much time as you need each day and night. Proclaim that you do not desire to discover your advancement in order to rejoice in yourself but rather to rejoice in God. After all these considerations which, as you see, supply abundance of pious affections, conclude simply with an act of thanksgiving and fervent prayer that you may draw profit from them.
