The Evolution of the Ladder
"I'm not a particularly knowledgeable chemist. I can talk about, you know, method nation or methanol or hydrocracking or all sorts of things," he says. "But I have never designed those plants." He adds that the ladder was created to encapsulate hydrogen's potential as an emissions solution. The vast majority is gray hydrogen produced from fossil fuels, mainly from gas and coal,. So we absolutely have to have clean hydrogen for that run, according to him.
