What Is Endosperm When You Eat Popcorn?

On the outside, that yellow part is a hard outside coating known as the husk. The husk protects the rest of the seed and doesn't let any moisture in or out. Inside the husk is a tiny little droplet of water surrounded by something called the endosperm. People have been making popcorn for more than a thousand years.
