Having a Rubric on Levels as a Software Engineer
Levels with a rubric provide a really useful path on what to aim for. A lot of the work that you do at a more senior and beyond level isn't always visible to other people. So it's helpful as someone a bit newer to know, okay, this is what it takes to be an L4. And then on the more, I guess, thinking more like a manager, it's useful for us to set salary bands.
