Is There a Middle Level of Abstraction?
Abstraction is the bad thing philosophers do. Don't do any more than that or your theoretical lungs are going to, you know, get black lung or whatever. So abstraction is just seen negatively. That struck me as a really important point because that's something that you see in a lot of philosophy too nowadays where so much of it's about concreteness. And I was almost wondering, he never says this, but it almost strikes me as like, there's three levels of abstraction at play here.
