Designing as a Pledge
The practice yo's constantly mocking up one to one a scale models of details like this. It seems like such an obvious way of solving a detailed problem, but at the same time very expensive and laborious and time consuming. By doing this, it gets you a little bit closer to the sort of immediacy that an artist has on their art form,. We're able to jump forward a few steps, have the immediacy here, and then use that as t ase er, the mock up.
