Is Your Partner Bickering About Your $10 Purchases?
In Canada, every individual files their taxes individually. You don't file as a household or a couple. Things like TFSA and RSP can only be under one name. They're not joint assets. And I think when it comes to building assets in a partnership, this degree of separation is good. It's really important that you do have your own financial assets... just so you can enjoy it without feeling like someone's looking over your shoulder.
