The Gift of Leadership

Peter is at a time where he's having to ask himself some questions about whether leaving everything behind to follow Jesus had maybe not been a bad idea but had possibly played itself out. When Peter says I'm going fishing, you and I have to rescue ourselves from our current recreational paradigm regarding fishing. There's nowhere in the text that bears that Peter was trying to get people to go with him when he decided to go back fishing. The trade of fishing in that culture would have required more than one person in order to handle the nets.
