Having this much microplastic in the ocean can just cannot have untold stresser effects. Microplastics are defined by their size and include anything smaller than five millimeters. They also come from micro fibres, small fibres that come out of our clothes,. When we wash them, some of the fibres break away and are too small to be filtered out at a waste water treatment facility. There are four sources of microplastics.
