A third class of objections is about whether the future will actually be desirable. If you thought that it was as likely for the future to be in a bad, morally, just an unpleasant place to be, as to be good, then that really would, i think, shift your focus. I don't think hat there's that much justification for believing this. The best kind of argument that it's actually bad over all, or that that tis going to be bad, is probably when thinking about our treatment of animals - which has got worse overtime.
