Middle Neolithic - The End of the LBK
At the end of the middle Neolithic, around 4000 BC, the farming way of life took its next great leap into the British Isles and Scandinavia. In western Germany, where we find what archaeologists called the Rucin culture after about 4,600 BC, the end of LBK period didn't mean the end of all the people. There were just a lot fewer of them than there had been 500 years before; they were no longer expanding generation to generation.
