Is There a Difference Between Zig and Rust?

Zig has this really cool design decision that Russ does not. In Zig, it's like culturally not really done to use a global allocator at all. So doing that stuff is just a lot easier in Zig than in Rust. It's because of how the standard library is designed and culturally what the ecosystem expects.
