Is Formal Modelling Necessary?

i think for moding is pretty interesting because, i mean, one might wonder, why doesn't everyone only ever write formal models of things? Because then you wild never disagree about things. But on the other hand, when i look at the history of psychology research, it does feel to me like many of, probably like most of the theories, in fact, the particularly strong theories, aren't actually formalized. So i don't think formal models are always necessary. It's possible till i communicate clearly and like, have robust finding ta eplicable without having any formal models yet,. Well, i think it's definitely possible.
