The Diary of Samuel Peeps
He was writing his diary in shorthand, which wasn't that much of protection. As he goes to the diary, he started writing in shorthand in french and spanish. And then he started inserting random letters into the shorthand in multipot languages. He still manages, not in code, some of what he's saying in this way. But there were increasing efforts to prevent people from ing that kind of material. i think that betrays an increasing sense, as he went on, that one day somebody else might read this.
