Is There a Point of Confusion?
Stanley's experiments were motivated by widespread atrocities at the time. The idea that people reflectr are sensitive to in terms of their behavior situations is not a particularly savory notion, but surely something that must have been in the public consciousness. We all want to believe we are the master of our fate. Anything you tell mea therapy, prisons, sterilization, nutrition, exercise, whatever it is, it's only at the individual level. There's almost no programme for changing situation. But as you say, you were, you are the system. And i want to get t this idea of these three levels momentarily.
