The Effects of Kappa Opioids on Depression
Historically, morphine and buprenorphine have been reported to work for depression. And therefore, blocking Kappa opioids might be harmful. One measure of significant opioid mu receptor modulation is changing pupil size. There was no change in pupil size with ketamine.
