After jean siscell died in february 19 99, roger hosted a few episodes of siscyll and ebert by self. Roger taped episodes with a series of rotating cohosts. Richard had been ca neibert fan for years as a college student. Decades later, richard was a pop culture colonist for the chicago sun times. He appeared with roger on nearly a dozen episodes before being made permanent cohost.
