You Will Die at 20

You will die at 20 is about a young sydanese boy and was written and directed by amjad abu allala. It became the country's first entry and also one best first feature at the venice film festival. Suzanna murgani made an excellent short in 20 19 called elsit, which follows the 15 year old nefisa facing an arranged marriage in a cotton farming village in sudan. Amjad learnt his craft in the gulf and started filming his movie in 20 19, in days before the uprising that ousted president albasher.
