Is the Fossil Record Inherently Incomplete?
Fossilization only occurs when conditions are just right. Out oft of all those dinosaurs that ever lived, theye are only a few thousand near complete specimens. A species as short lived as homeless sapiens might not make it into the fossil record at all. We have trouble comparing the odds because you're not realizing how many millions of times more the dinosaur body got to roll the dice than ours would.
