The Importance of Ebbing Away

Robert Mugabe's grip on Zimbabwe, ebbing away after military takes control. Eb is a nice way of saying losing power or influence. It can be used in all sorts of contexts - diplomacy and government. And we can say eb on its own, but often as a phrasal, something ebbs away.
