The Importance of Understanding the Occupation in Haiti
CNN's John Sutter talks with author Craig Johnson about his new book, "Haiti," and the Haiti occupation of 1915. He says he is using intelligence reports from the military on prominent citizens within Haiti to get their view of what the occupation is. The ones that are around the insurgent camps where most of this action is being taken place tend to be more likely to support it or at least oppose it; they see like, hey, yeah, you're protecting us from the insurgents.
