What if They Drift Over Time?
The reason that they have that J in front or they have a B, which means the 1950s coordinate system,. That letter that you have in front tells you when that position is good for. And so you can see the name of the object and know where to find it in the sky. As opposed to having to look up a catalog, find the location of the object. You can just find it there in the name. But what if they drift over time? That's a terrible naming scheme.
