The Lost City: A Cool Environment
The Lost City is in the middle of the Atlantic between Florida and Northern Africa. There are hot springs spewing water that's been heated by volcanic activity. Because it's so mineral rich, you have mats of bacteria that convert chemicals into energy. You have deep sea octopuses like the adorable Dumbo octopus.
