Timefulness - A Deliberate Counterpoint to Timelessness

Timefulness is a deliberate counterpoint to timelessness, an unattainable, sterile and i will argue, even dangerous idea. Many of the environmental problems we face have arisen because we collectively lack a sense for the duration of chapters in earth's history. Understanding how historical happenstant is en into each of our personal lives might cause us to treat each other with more apathy. A timeful habit of mind might even make us less neurotic about the fact of our own mortality. The strong human connections i've developed with them through our shared study of earth make me optimistic that a geocentric, timefull world view might help us overcome animosities and barriers that divide us.
