Tides of History

CHAPTER

Tutankhamun's Legacy

I imagine he would have just been physically miserable a lot of the time during his life but also because of the circumstances under which he came to the throne. There's a really poignant couple of, well I shouldn't really call them objects, artifacts from the tomb and those are the little mummified bodies of Tutankhamun stillborn daughters. They were very lovingly mummified and placed in their own little coffins in his tomb. And you think never mind that this was a dynasty that was kind of coming to an end because there was no heir, fundamentally this was a young man and a woman with real tragedy in their lives.
