The Effects of PGY12 Inhibitors on Blood Pressure
In the ED, let's try and keep it super simple. We want to give them some drugs which work synergistically with that aspirin. And essentially what we're going to give for patients that are going for immediate PCI is a drug called prasugrel. Now in some cases you might also have patients that have a high bleeding risk, and then you might choose to actually use clopidogrel. But it's a bit out of favor at the moment, because it's quite variable platelet inhibition. The other most commonly seen drug that you will see at this stage is tycagrelor,. It has a slightly better evidence base and fewer bleeding complications when you compare it
