The Different Components of the Arterial Waveform
The waveform can give you an idea of how hard and fast the ventricle is contracting. The slope of the line roughly correlates to blood flow through the aortic valve. A slurred upstroke might be representative of aortic stenosis or decreased contractility. And when you say DPDT, you're referring to the change in pressure over the change in time.
