Running in a Race, but Only One Gets the Prize
This week i want to take another run at practice and drill down. And specifically, i want o chat about the spiritual disciplines. We have a bible one corinthians chapter nine. This is from a master apprentice of jesus by the name of paul. Paul's metaphor for what following jesus is like is that of athletics. It's like running in a race or boxing in a fight. Every one who competes in the games goes into strict training. But we do it to get a crown that will last forever. I consider my life worth nothing to me. My only aim is to complete the task the lord jesus has given me.
