Catherine's Metaphor of Charity
Saints Aquinas and augustin have a lot to say about what it means to be rational as a huan person. For saint catherine, you can use the image of being clothed in charity. Another image she usesas that the trinity is a kind of mirror. If you look in the mirror, you see at reflection ot yourself. But what c Catherine wants us to see more deeply is the image in the mirror. And the tr Trinity is the mirror, as it were. The divine nature ends up providing us with this kind of reference point for the moral life.
