The Importance of Hope in Addiction
In NRE, you oscillate back and forth between euphoria and depression. Limerants needs these small doses of hope. If there's no contact at all with the limerant object, that it will kind of tend to go away usually. It makes me think of an old superstition about eating ant eggs for love.
