The Role of LFTs in the Diagnosis of Chronic Hepatitis C
An outpatient hematology consult was ordered and preliminary blood work revealed a normal AST, ALT, Billie Rubin, and alkphos. A CBC that aside from the side of Pina, which was repeated, the thromasidepina remained, but was within normal limits. An abdominal ultrasound came back with the read of an enlarged liver with broad areas of indeterminate mass like parenchymal heterogeneity without clearly defined margins.
