Is Apple Complying With China's Laws?

I think Apple is doing the right thing and I think it's interesting because they have to know all of the crap that is going to come down on them. In a place like China or other authoritarian countries, it may just be as simple as you can't do that here. And one step like that or we live in an era now where I have to say or a Supreme Court ruling that goes against all sorts of established law could happen. That's all it will take in the US for something like that to happen. But part of me thinks that the strategy here is Apple has done everything that it can to ensure the privacy of the data of its users.
