The Importance of Memento Mori
For centuries Christians have practiced the discipline known as Memento Mori. Remember your death. It goes back to the you know monastic traditions. In certain Trappas communities they were encouraged every day to dig a shovel of their own grave. Keith Richard of the Rolling Stones wears this big ring with it with a death's head on it.
