The Power of the Story and the Debunk

The Leopold and Loeb murder trial was the famous case for two teenagers to gay teenagers. Nathan Leopold said that he felt like he was being experimented on by these people who were just trying in a scientific way to figure out why he would do this. And what I find so interesting about that is that that bug quote becomes one of the hallmark quotes of the whole case. It's proof that they were monsters, and that they just had no connection to human life and no empathy at all.
