Lottie is a library that has no transitive dependencies other than OKIO, which pretty much all apps already have. Scotty adds multiple megabytes to the app for negligible performance. Lottie Android gets this popularity because it's so easy and you just add it as a great old limitation. The world is a very pragmatic place.
