Predictive Text and the Language Model
The way that the predictive text works is it looks at the history of what the words that you've normally used after each one of those words. It runs on having been trained on your habits of speech. And we use that same word to describe what this language model, even the tiny little one in our personal Twitter histories is. We're undergoing a similar type of situation with regards to how we talk about the machines, just maybe in the inverse,. I don't know, but it's, we're using analogical language.
