Schenade's View of Catholicism

I think you cannot disentangle her view of Catholicism from that extreme charismatic Catholicism that I experienced as well. She was exposed at this very young age in Bray to this very extreme form of religiosity, almost going back to kind of medieval morals about God and about Catholicism. This was imported from the United States and was more Pentecostal or Evangelical. What it had was all about your absolute personal relationship with God but unlike Protestantism, this was always extreme adherence to Catholic creeds.
