Bluey: The modern good father in quotations is really the traditional mother. And I think it's to the point now where people can't even notice it, which is this idea that what what culture really, really wants to celebrate is what a good father is is present and playful. Bluey: A lot of this is from an expectation that the mother would always be present like you skinned your knee right there at home. They were responsible for training the children into free-spirited adults who could do anything they wanted with their lives. That was the idea of motherhood so I think there was a new desire on fathers' part to expand the family as much as possible.
