Jean, who gave birth to Heidi in 1970, was a pioneer of the new policy that allowed women to resume flying after they'd had kids. Jean also had a $24,000 life insurance policy, which five months before her death had been changed to make Fred the beneficiary and if he predeceased her named Heidi and Kirsten co-beneficiaries.
