The Promise of a Manual
The waters of the Euphrates, the power of Assyria, would overflow its banks and the region would be deluged. The land is described as a manual's land which perhaps adds weight to the idea that a manual is a royal child. In faithfully holding to the word of the Lord, he sets a pattern for others. He is warned against following the behaviour and adopting the attitudes of his compatriots.
