Caroline Herschel: The First Woman to Discover a Comet

She was the sister of William Herschel, they both came from Hanover. She worked with him for the rest of his life and then she went on to do it herself. Her work in the garden is a bit of a French visitor. There's this very elaborate mechanism where he would sit at the top of the telescope and she would take the recording. And she did observe the first woman's comet. But personally, I think that's a far greater contribution than discovering a comet.
